Magrath Library Group Study Room

Magrath Library has a private group study room (room B55) available.

The room is available to current University students, staff, and faculty.
A valid University ID must be presented to check out the room.

Fill out and present this form at the Magrath circulation desk to check out the room.
Blank forms are available at the desk.

Group Study Questions and Answers:

During what hours and days is the room available?

* The room is available during open library hours only.

* See the hours posted in the lobby of the library. (The Library proper, NOT the study room hours.)

* A security monitor may check the room as part of their rounds.

What amenities does the room have?

* 4 rolling tables

* 16 chairs

* whiteboard

* a bulletin board

* Television equipped with DVD and VHS

Is an Internet connection or a wireless connection available?

* Yes, you can access the network with both ethernet and wireless card.

* You will need to provide the equipment and ethernet cable.

* DO NOT leave your equipment unattended, even if you lock the door, take it with you. You are responsible for your equipment and personal items.

 

How do I get access to the room and are there any rules regarding its use?

* The room key can only be checked out to a person whose University ID is presented and recorded. By checking out the key:

* I agree to be solely responsible for returning the room to the original condition upon departure.

* I agree to put trash in bins.

* I agree to put tables back to the original configuration.

* I agree to be solely responsible for the return of the key as agreed upon. I will pay any fines or fees that may result from a late key return.

* I understand lost keys will result in a $100 fee for lock changes.

* I understand the room key must be returned 10 minutes before the library is officially closed. The hours are posted in the front lobby. (The Library proper, NOT the study room hours.)

* I understand that no food, alcohol, drugs, guns, animals, or open flames are permitted in the library or room.

* I understand that drinks are allowed, in spill-proof containers ONLY.
